Gtechniq Managing Director Rob Earle was recently invited to join a number of influencers in the detailing industry, to assist in creating the UK branch of the International Detailing Association.
David Kendall, Rupes S.p.A Manger for the UK and Ireland, one of the leaders behind the groups’ formation, said: “The International Detailing Association, or IDA as it’s more widely known has started to become truly international with new ‘Chapter’ beginning to open around the globe. The UK is the first new Chapter to be opened outside of the United States and I am delighted to be working alongside Bert Youell, Managing Director of Pro-Valets, to bring the advantages and services of an international detailing organisation to detailers in the UK.”
The IDA is a voluntary organisation run by detailers and suppliers who are keen to give the industry help, support, and detailing standards.
Rob Earle, Gtechniq Managing Director, said: “Detailing as an industry is growing thick and fast here in the UK, and new detailing business are forming left, right and centre as demand grows. It is fantastic to see the industry is expanding, but at the same time standards need to be met and maintained to ensure the customer experience of detailing is consistent. By working with the UK branch of the IDA, I hope that the other board members and I can help the industry reach its full potential, provide detailers with the support they need and introduce industry standards.”
